THE OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE

Join LIT7s this April for its second rugby sevens camp in the United States – an exclusive three-day rugby 7s training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, for a rugby 7s training experience like no other with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train and live like an Olympian at the home of USA 7s National Team

Our legendary coaches include some of the most well known rugby players and coaches in the world today.  Our coaches will include:

  • Perry Baker, 3 x Olympian and two-time World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year;
  • Naya Tapper, 2 x Olympian and Olympic Bronze Medal Winner;
  • Carlin Isles, 2 x Olympian and “Fastest Rugby Player in the World”;
  • Kelly Griffin, Olympian, PR7s Coach & USA Rugby Women’s High Performance Pathways Coach;
  • JK Anderson, USA 7s Falcons, PR7s Coach and NAV 7s Head Coach; and
  • Irene Gardner, USA 7s International, PR7s Coach & USA Rugby Women’s High Performance Pathways Head Coach.
 
There will be a panel session with all of our coaches with an opportunity for YOU to ask any questions that you may have. Panel will specifically cover player pathway opportunities for men and women in the USA as well as useful advice from our coaches on different topics.
 

Over the course of the camp, you will experience an elite training environment including fitness testing and technical skill sessions whilst having a lot of fun with your fellow players and our charismatic coaches. 

Schedule for the camp will be as follows:

FRIDAY

  • Players arrive 
  • Tour of the facility
  • Registration for camp
  • Pick up kit bags
  • Use on-site gym (optional)
  • Panel with coaches at 7/8pm (timing TBC if on Fri/Sun)
  • Dinner at the on-site cafeteria for those boarding

 

SATURDAY

  • Photos with coaches 
  • Fitness Testing
  • Coaching sessions focussed on improving your ball handling skills, decision-making, attack and defence work. 
  • Sprint specific sessions with the “fastest rugby players in the world” – Carlin Isles and Perry Baker – on the running track. 
  • Lunch together as a group
  • FlagX matches
  • Recovery intro session
  • Professional ice baths at the Olympic training center 
  • Dinner at the on-site cafeteria for those boarding
 
SUNDAY
 
  • Contact and tackling drills
  • Players will work with our coaches on some game prep sessions
  • Lunch together as a group
  • Players showcase their skills in rugby sevens matches, which will be filmed and photographed.
  • LIT7s Players of the Camp Awards
  • End of camp goodbyes & autograph opportunity.

 

We pride ourselves on providing the very best player experience. All players will receive feedback from our coaches so that they will have useful and practical take-home advice to improve their game.

All players will receive a vest, shorts, photos with our superstar coaches and lunch on both days of the camp.

Players can arrive on Friday from 2pm (exact timing TBC). On Saturday and Sunday sessions will be approximately 9am – 4pm followed by ice baths on Saturday and dinner for those boarding. 

Players 13+ welcome to including Adult Men, Adult Women, Youth Boys and Youth Girls. No rugby beginners please.
